Monthly Stargazing Programs
All members and the public are invited to join us for our monthly programs at the Fred Bay Observatory at Hisey Park and the Rachel A. Hutzel Observatory at Camp Joy.
- Details about what’s in the sky each month and how to participate are shared on:
- These monthly programs are held rain or “shine.” If weather or atmospheric conditions are not favorable, we usually will move the program indoors at Hisey Park. There will be occasions, however, when we will cancel events due to weather conditions. Cancellations and schedule changes are announced to the public on our Facebook page, and our GroupMe channel for members.
- Additional events will be conducted throughout the year as the weather permits. Watch for details on our Facebook page.
Special Activities for Your Group
School classes, scouts, and other youth and community groups are invited to hold a special event at the Fred Bay Observatory at Hisey Park.
- Our volunteers will work with you to schedule a program appropriate for your participants.
- Special programs generally are offered in the evenings, depending on the weather and atmospheric conditions and when our volunteers are available.
- Ask us about options for presentations during the daytime at our observatory or your location in Warren County.
- Special programs also can be available for wedding celebrations and other private events. Talk with the Warren County Park District staff when you arrange to rent Hisey Park.
